How much caffeine is it safe to consumer during the first trimester of pregnancy I wouldn't want to hurt the baby, but I was wondering, can I still have a cup of coffee in the morning? And a cup of black tea in the evening without hurting my baby?

ME replied: "Doctors usually say 200mgs... 2 cups of coffee should be fine :) Good luck! Edit: Or a cup of tea, and a cup of coffee. Just make sure to get plenty of water too. :)"

t_brown08 replied: "they say one cup a day, but i drink a 2 liter of pepsi a day with my husband, and my baby is perfectly fine!"

iloveJesus replied: "Guidelines issued by the Food Standards Agency, the Department of Health and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists recommend that women have no more than 300mg of caffeine a day while pregnant. This is equivalent to three mugs of instant coffee or six cups of tea."

~ 34 weeks (yay) ~ replied: "300mg a day. That's one strong cup of coffee or about 3 can's of soda. If I were you in the first tri reduce your intake of caffeine but wants you get out of your first tri, its allot safer. Drink up lol ! j/k I drank caffeine all Thur my second and third tri's and so far so good. But I stuck with the guidelines"

mystic_eye_cda replied: "http://www.otispregnancy.org/pdf/caffeine.pdf I am pregnant. Is it safe for me to continue drinking coffee and soda? Most experts agree that moderation and common sense are the keys for consuming caffeinated items during pregnancy. Moderate caffeine consumption is approximately 200-300mg/day, which is similar to 1-3 cups of coffee. It is also important for pregnant women to drink enough water, milk and juice. These fluids should not be replaced with caffeinated beverages."

Caffeine during first trimester? During my first pregnancy I gave up all caffeine. I just found out I'm pregnant again and am craving a cup of coffee. Is it ok just to have one cup in the morning? I heard that caffeine can cause miscarriage and since it took us a while to conceive I'm kinda worried. Does one cup of coffee really put me at risk for a miscarriage?

Ty Caldwell replied: "i didnt find out til late that i was pregnant... im so surprised i didnt miscarry my baby cause i was still doing some heavy exercising, drinking and eating very unhealthy, and being a complete tom-boy... I dont think one cup will hurt."

jackalsgirl13 replied: "you can have up to about 150 mg of caffeine every day. and that's the lowest rate i've ever heard, so one cup of coffee a day is more than safe. i drank one can of cola every day (i know soda has less caffeine than coffee, but still), and my baby girl is perfectly healthy. if you're really worried, just drink decaf coffee."

CA1123 replied: "Caffeine is up in the air with most doctors. Research is always changing on this particular subject. If you had a hard time conceiving I would pass on it just to be safe."

harmonyjoy5 replied: "You could try decaf"

maccrew6 replied: "Some say yes.. some say no.. but let me ask you.. is it worth the risk?"

AutumnHood Due March24 replied: "lol. I am in my third trimester and have drunk caffinated drinks throughout the whole pregnancy. my doctor says that everyhthing is perfectly fine with the baby."

Jamie replied: "NopE! You can have tww cups a day and be safe. Just remember there is caffeine in other things too like baking chocolate for example. My doc always says moderation!"

Did anyone else give up caffeine 100% in the first trimester? I am almost to my second and I cannot wait to have a little diet coke or coffee every now and then!!I was really hooked on diet dew before I was pregnant so it has been rough on me. hey "ME" why did you have to give up caesar salad? I thought I was aware of all of the dangerous foods, but I didn't read about that one.

Mrs. D due w/ #1 March 16, 2010 replied: "Not 100%...but very much limited it. I have a cup of coffee like one morning a week and soda w/ caffeine maybe twice a week."

MummyMonster replied: "i'm not a huge fan of any caffeine products so i don't think i really had any during the first trimester but i suppose it hasn't been hard or anything. i do enjoy the occasional cup of tea every now and then. =]"

KB expecting #1 Dec '09 replied: "I did (and I was going to anyway) but luckily for me soda made me feel awful until I was about 15weeks so I just stuck to fruit juice and water. Now though is a very different story. They say you can have three cups of coffee/tea a day or some cola/caffeinated drinks so go, treat yourself. Just don't go berserk or drink enough to get hooked on it while you're pregnant again, lol"

x Sian Baby Girl due 24/11 x replied: "I dont see whats the problem in having caffine????? I have drak diet coke right through, and the baby is fine! I didnt drink tea or coffe in the first trimester but not because I wasnt allowed but because I just hated the smell of warm food and drink. Whats the problem with drinking caffine???????? xx"

happy0623 replied: "no...I tried though...your a trooper! I didnt drink much caffiene at all though...im in my 3rd trimester now and sometimes ill have a glass of pop sometimes I dont drink any at all. If it makes ya feel any better....my doc says he doesnt RECCOMEND it but if wanted...you can have up to 250mgs of caffiene a day while pregnant and it isnt going to affect the baby or anything... theres about 35mg in 1 can of pop...so 1 can a day or every other day is great..and should be considered a treat if you do decide to have a few drinks here and there!"

Stacie replied: "I did but it wasn't hard, anything with caffeine in it made me feel like throwing up. Now that I'm past the nauseousness, I don't crave it anymore."

ArmyWife replied: "I never gave up caffine when i was pregnant and my son came out beautiful and healthy as can be. I honestly dont get why they say not to have any caffine. My son is almost 2 now and has never had soda, and doesnt even know what it is. Good luck"

me! replied: "I was the biggest caffeine addict before I got pregnant. But before I even took the test coffee started making me sick so I cut back. Then when I found out I was pregnant I stopped drinking coffee and pop all together. Now I just drink half a cup of tea every morning and I glad I did because I thought I lost the baby a couple of times and if I was doing anything I shouldn't I know I would of blamed myself. I'm 16 weeks now and don't plan on taking it back up, but if I was suffering with not having it I probably would let myself have a bit more. I found giving up caesar salad harder, lol. good luck! There is raw egg yolk in most caesar salad dressings, makes me so sad."

I'd rather be at the beach replied: "I gave up caffeine 100% for my entire pregnancy with my son. Since he was born, I drink coffee every morning. We're now trying for #2, and I have a feeling, giving up caffeine is going to be MUCH harder this time"

Lily replied: "Nope. I certainly cut down though. You are allowed a small amount of caffeine... my doctor even said so :) I think like 2 cups of coffee a day is fine... so i guess having a can of caffeine soft drink is fine :) I'm kind of glad I've cut down anyway as I was drinking wayyyy too much caffine before I fell pregnant lol"

Mandi K replied: "I did with both my pregnancies. Halfway through the second trimester, I started getting a can of Dew every once in awhile & it was great, lol."

Maria replied: "No I didn't; Coke actually helped to settle my stomach. I just limited it..."

Just my opinion replied: "You can have some now, who told you you couldn't?! Just no more than 3 a day and that's during any time of your pregnancy. I honestly stopped craving coffee and pop in my first trimester, and I'm a NY'er, we love our coffee cuz we're always on the go! lol. So I drank a lot of green tea instead."

Due in 2 days w/ nmbr 1-a girl! replied: "Caeser salad has raw eggs in the dressing. I was never a caffeine drinker but every now and again I get it. I still drink sprite every day and my doctor said that is fine. A little soda isn't going to hurt you or the baby. 39w 5d pregnant with a precious baby girl!"

Need suggestions for taking care of myself in first trimester? Today I'm 5w6d and I cannot even explain as to how tired and sleepy I am. Getting up to go to work has become the toughest part of my life now. Also when at work, I'm feeling kind of dull, less energetic, tired, sleepy and hungry! My doc has asked me to try and avoid caffeine if possible and that is making matters worse. Does anyone have any tips on how to tide through this period?

Catie's Pregnant Due 10/3 replied: "Go to bed as early as possible. Eat healthy. Try to keep busy at work so you dont sit still to long and go to sleep. lol. When you eat, eat fruits and veggies during snack times."

shortcake3 replied: "Well, you are going to be tired all of the time. Just make sure you get plenty of sleep and rest when possible throughout the day. You may still have morning sickness kicking in also in the next couple of weeks and that is no fun. Keep yourself very well hydrated with water, juice, and milk. Eat alot of fruit, that always seemed to give me a bit of energy throughout the day. It should get easier for you once you hit your second trimester."

aks replied: "Food during pregnancy Certain foods need to be avoided during pregnancy. Listeria, which is caused by uncooked meats, some seafood, unpasterized milk and soft cheeses, can cause birth defects, miscarriages and stillbirth. Cat litter Toxoplasmosis, is a disease which is contracted by contact with cat feces. It is spread by a parasite which can lead to miscarriages, stillbirth and birth defects. Smoking Smoking during pregnancy is definitely a no no. It has been linked to a low birth weight, miscarriage and premature birth in many different studies. Second hand smoke poses the same dangers during pregnancy, and should be avoided at all costs. Caffeine Some studies on caffeine during pregnancy have led to the conclusion that the two do not mix well together, as caffeine may increase the possibility of miscarriage and low birth weight. On the other hand, other studies have shown no link between the two. Obviously an excessive amount of caffeine is a bad idea regardless of pregnancy. An excessive amount of caffeine is generally regarded as over 300 milligrams per day. If you stay well clear of this figure, caffeine during pregnancy is less likely to cause problems. Safety around the house There are many hazards around the house for pregnant women, but almost all can be easily avoided. If you still insist on doing all the house work yourself, try to stay clear of aerosol cans, industrial strength cleaners and fumes from paint, solvents and strippers. All of the above have been linked to birth defects and other pregnancy complications. It also pays to take it a little easier around certain parts of the house such as stair cases. Body temperature Keeping a moderate body temperature during pregnancy (especially during first trimester) is important as it may lead to birth defects. It is a good idea to keep an eye on your temperature during exercise and keep your fluids up. Things such as saunas and hot baths are not recommended during pregnancy. Alcohol and drugs To be safe with alcohol during pregnancy it is probably best to avoid it altogether, as there is no safe level of consumption. It can have detrimental affects on an unborn child. In comparison to a fully grown woman, a baby is very small, so you could imagine the potential damage to the baby if the mother was drunk or even tipsy. Drugs during pregnancy have been shown to have a negative effect. Drugs such as cocaine have been shown to hinder the development of a babys vital oxygen and nourishment, leading to complications such as birth defects and even an addiction in the child itself. Exercise Exercise during pregnancy is recommended for most women, but only at a moderate pace. Women who participated in high impact exercise, weight lifting, contact sports, high altitude training or scuba diving before pregnancy, will have to readjust their routines. Walking is highly recommended for at least the first two trimesters, as it can help your body withstand the rigors of labor and delivery more easily. The do's and donts of pregnancy are different for each woman and each pregnancy. The above information is not a medical opinion and should not substitute a professional medical opinion. Always consult your doctor or care provider before making any major decisions before, during and even after pregnancy."

Jade S replied: "I felt the way you were feeling, i never done anything different than what i usally did i just got on with it you do start to feel normal again though just takes a few weeks lol. X"

#2 on the way!!!!! replied: "Try and take an hour lunch and maybe take a little nap, get to bed as early as you can and eat lots of fresh fruit & some nuts. this will help by giving you natural energy. Just take it in strides i'm 16w2d and just got over the tired stage, keep in mind it does pass and it will get better! Just get lots of rest and make sure to eat lots of fresh fruit, that's what my dr. told me, also make sure your taking your prenatal's. Congrats on your baby!"

<3 mommy 2 be<3 te amo replied: "I would try and get 2 bed earlier and then when you get home take a cat nap for about 30 mins before dinner!!! and make sure ur taking prenatals!!! GOOD LUCK HUN! congrats!!!!"

Junebug due 6.8.2009 replied: "Eat healthy... and sleep, sleep, sleep! When I was in my first trimester I was in bed between 8 - 8:30pm every night. Don't stay stationary too long either, if you can avoid it, it tends to make your body relax and want to sleep! I also use to keep like bottled juices with me, and when I would start to get sleepy I would drink them to give me just a tad of a sugar rush to get me up and going again! Good luck and congrats on your little one!"

Rose replied: "Definitely go to bed as early as possible. My husband was a great help during my first trimester - he would do laundry, dishes, whatever needed to be done so I could sleep. Take a nap on your lunch break if you can - and definitely take naps on the weekends. Eat healthy - stay away from fried and fatty foods...those just make you more tired...and try to get some form of exercise. I had a really rough time with being tired my first trimester and it seemed to drag on a lot. But, I made it through it - and without any caffeine! :) Good luck!"

Is a bite size dark chocolate ok during first trimester? I have an awful taste in my mouth and I don't enjoy eating ANYTHING...Dark chocolate is appealing though...Is one piece of dark chocolate safe to consume as I have read caffeine intake can cause the risk of miscarriage

Mrs. D due w/ #1 March 16, 2010 replied: "Yes...you will be fine."

Eloise due in 2 days =] replied: "Yea thatl be fine lol."

Mommy of 3 replied: "I ate choc . all the time. :P You will be fine. And they say that dark choc is ok for you better then the rest."

<3MommyofACutie&anAngel<3 replied: "Dark chocolate is fine. In fact, it's a really good source of antioxidants for you. If you have any doubts, however, I would call your doctor/midwife and ask them how they feel about it. In my opinion, dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate. Best of luck <3"

Pippin replied: "You would have to eat about 10 chocolate bars to take in enough caffeine to put your pregnancy at the slightest risk. (An ounce of dark chocolate contains about 20 mg. of caffeine. You can safely have up to 200 mg. per day.)"

oh_jo123 replied: "a bite of chocolate is not going to make you miscarry I don't think when I was pregnant with my son I craved chocolate at points and I ate what I wanted to I figured my son was needing a certain something while he was growing"

Liam's mommy 2008 replied: "Yes, enjoy it. A small amount of caffeine is safe during pregnancy. Its the over abundance of caffeine that is harmful. I also had this awful metallic, dry, nasty taste in my mouth the entire time I was pregnant. Suck on hard candies or even sugar free gum in you can handle that."

My baby girl is due Jan. 28th replied: "Haha, if chocolate is going to make me miscarry then my baby should be dead by now!(she isn't) A little bit of caffeine will not hurt anything. You would have to consume A LOT of it to cause any problems. The women who might have increased risk are those who drink 4 cups of coffee a day or 6 cans of soda. Maybe even more than that before it might cause problems. As with everything, eat stuff in moderation. Too much of anything can cause problems whether you're pregnant or not."

Your replied: "yes normal well actually dark chocolate is way better than regular milk chocolate so you should be fine"

Caffeine in 2nd trimester...? I was a coffee addict :) but stopped as the smell made me sick during first trimester. I am 17 weeks now. What are the guidelines on coffee drinking now. Should I still avoid it? 1 a day? a couple times a week? And what are effects on bub Thanks :)

sweetienat123 replied: "Drinking caffeinated beverages during pregnancy should not cause harm to the fetus as long as they are consumed in moderation. Here is some information about caffeine and pregnancy from the March of Dimes website: "Most experts agree that small amounts of caffeine appear safe during pregnancy. The safety of larger amounts is controversial. Some studies suggest that high caffeine intake may increase the risk of miscarriage and of having a low-birthweight baby. However, there is no solid proof that caffeine causes these problems. Until more is known, women should limit their caffeine intake during pregnancy. Most experts believe that consuming less than about 300 mg of caffeine per day appears safe in pregnancy. In general, brewed coffee contains the highest amounts of caffeine, with an average of 137 mg per 8-ounce cup. Instant coffee contains about 76 mg per 8-ounce cup A 12-ounce can of caffeinated soda contains about 37 mg." As for the effects on the fetus: "During pregnancy, caffeine crosses the placenta and reaches the fetus. Studies suggest that caffeine may affect the fetal heart rate and breathing patterns, though these changes are not believed to be harmful." Definitely ask your OB about it, as he or she may have a different view on this subject. Also, make sure you are getting enough water to prevent dehydration. Best wishes and take care!"

Peter replied: "I think a little bit would be fine. You don't want your baby to dance and kick now, due to the caffeine =), that would hurt lol Good Luck on your baby"

Dianna H replied: "You're not really supposed to have caffeine at all. I know, it sucks, but they say that it can make you miscarry(I'm thinking that's only if you have an iv drip of coffee going lol) But it can have some harmful effects on the baby. You could limit it to maybe once a week if you need it badly. You should ask your doc though"

Rachael1282 replied: "One or two cups a day should be perfectly safe for both you and baby at this point in your pregnancy, assuming you're both healthy. When in doubt, ask your OB."

hthrschrdr replied: "The docs really don't like you to have caffine at all, but come on, is that really a realistic thing to ask a pregnant woman that is a caffine addict? I went from drinking soda most of the day to 1 or 2. Caffine in moderation is fine so a cup of coffee in the morning and one later in the day should be fine."

canadian_mamma21 replied: "Well i just had a baby and i deank ice caps throughout the summer which is alot of caffine...my doc said it was fine i use to drink 3 or 4 a day then i only drank 1..as long as you dont drink as much as u use to everything should be fine"

Jen M replied: "All of my doctors have told me a cup or two a day is fine."

katiecatz6 replied: "You may want to try decaf. I love coffee so I just switched to decaf. It isn't exactly the same but it helps when you get the cravings and I drink caffeine free coke. It really isn't bad and it will be worth it for the baby. once your body gets used to not having the caffeine you really don't notice a difference. I drank a ton of caffeine before getting pregnant. Once I we started trying I cut back and then cut it out completely."

Danielle L replied: "OK...so this is gonna sound bad and go against all the "rules" of caffeine use in pregnancy, but when I was pregnant with my second child once I hit my second trimester through his birth I would drink a HUGE Dr. Pepper from 7/11 every day, if not a couple of them. I think it may of been the 64 ounce one. (so against caffeine guidelines) My son is now 12 years old and he is in all gifted classes in middle school and has straight A's. And, I'm talking 99% or 100% in all his classes. He's so incredibly intelligent and has never had one issue with regards to "caffeine aftermath" due to my excessive use during pregnancy. Now, since he was born I have had three more kids and with those pregnancies I mellowed my caffeine usage out alot. However, when I felt like having a soda of cup of coffee I did. I really think that moderation is key when it comes to caffeine, and that applies to all people. Not just preggo's! :) I really do think it is considered safe to have a cup or two each day. And, why not switch to decaf coffee? It still has caffeine in it, just not nearly as much as regular coffee."

When is it safe to drink caffeine while pregnant? Ok, so I have cut caffeine out of my diet but with the extreme fatigue during this first trimester I am dying to have my coffee again. I read some where that after the first trimester it is safer to drink caffeine, but I want to be sure. Any thoughts?

Mrs.B replied: "You can have some in moderation. But don't go crazy. Ask your doctor how he feels about it first."

L a replied: "I cut the caffine until I was 6 months. But my doctor told me that having a cup of coffee a day hasn't been shown to cause any harm. But if you drink soda, or eat chocolate then you are getting caffine too."

Jess 18wks Baby#3 replied: "If you want to aviod a misscarrage in the first trimester than it's better not to have caffine. My doctor said 2 cups of coffee or tea a day is alright."

hotsuz21 replied: "you can sill drink caffeine hun just dont overdo it. They say if you drink more than 3 cups of coffee a day it may lead to miscarriage but under that you should be fine. good luck and congrats"

jessie replied: "they said after the first trimester it is safer but they still dont want u too. i don't think a small amout maybe one cup is going to hurt u.. i drink caffeine the whole time now.. i'm 13weeks.. i had one every other day and now maybe one a day.. i'm carring twins and they r healthy and fine... goodluck"

M Kerr RN L&D replied: "In moderation is ok..ie 2 cups of coffee a day is fine"

Julie D replied: "Ask your doctor and so some research yourself. There are a lot of different opinions. Personally, I think this is one of those "okay in moderation" issues. I am a coffee-lover, but had an aversion to it from about 10 wks to 14 wks. After that, I had an occasional coffee drink or diet soda. I drank a lot of iced tea when I was pregnant. It has less caffeine than coffee and the tea has a lot of antioxidants. Just make sure to keep yourself well-hydrated."

j1 replied: "So 2 cups of coffee (16oz) has 200mg caffeine. This is the safe limit of caffeine is pregnancy--less than that is certainly better. Anymore than that and you are increasing your risk of miscarriage! They just had an article about it on USATODAY. Also, things like pop have about 40mg caffeine, so drinking one of those might be a better choice--I'm not saying you should be guzzling Dr Pepper, but having one of those might be better than coffee just because it has less caffeine. From MSNBC: "

SarahJaner replied: "You can get away with small amounts of caffine, but you need to keep your maximum intake below 150mg. One 8oz cup of percolated coffee contains 120mg of caffine, Take a look at this table i found on the good 'ol internets; "

SusieQ replied: "i dont know how safe it is just dont drink too much"

Voodoo Vixen replied: "my doc told me 2-3 cups w/ caffeine per day was ok. I usually had 1. But you'll have extreme fatigue just due to being preggers. 2nd 3rd tri are better."

dizzy replied: "i read in a baby book that you can have up to 300mg of caffeine a day when you start to feel the baby move you will be able to feel how it affects unborn babies. mine kicks loads when i have a red bull or coke! but i dont drink tea or coffee so having something like that every now and again wont do any harm!"

What happens when you have too much caffeine while pregnant? I know what the limit is but I think I went over that a little a couple days last week. Would doing it a couple times do any damage? And what exactly does caffeine do to a baby before it's born? And I know it should be avoided in the first trimester, I'm 30 weeks already. =]

Due April 16th with #2 replied: "Caffeine is a stimulant; it increases your heart rate and metabolism, which in turn affects your developing baby. But while unremitting stress isn't healthy, brief bouts of fetal stress, such as that your baby would feel after you drink a cup of coffee, shouldn't cause him any harm. It's akin to your dashing to the bus, another situation that briefly boosts your heart rate and metabolism."

shannanhickey replied: "you would have to go crazy with the caffeine to have major issues...the guidelines are there to try and help you stay as healthy as possible. You should be fine. If you were drinking a case of cokes a day then the baby would go through with-drawl symptoms just like a drug baby. It can be very hard on their systems but you have to take in a lot of caffeine to get to that point. And since you are aware of this I have a feeling that you are being very careful and your few slip ups will not have any lasting effects on your precious cargo."

21 weeks- due march 14th #1 replied: "My doctor gave me this paper on nutrition. It says that the studies aren't sure of exactly what dangers the caffine has or if it damages the baby at all, but it is advised to not drink caffine or cut back. My aunt drank pepsi like a fish and both of her kids are fine. High school now."

kiki n replied: "One or two cups a day is considered safe. Increased or overuse has been shown with an increase risk of miscarriage."

Kath replied: "You will be fine - dont stress. I have had a caffeine addiction for quite some time and it hasnt affected any of my past pregnancies. Whilst that is said - I am not proud of my caffeine addiction. Your body will tell you. I am in my third trimester and my body has told me to not drink so much softdrink. So lately all I want to drink is water. I have gone through some pretty tough withdrawal symptoms. Migraine is the worst because you think - i cant afford to have a migraine, so you continue to drink your caffeine. Sounds like you havent got a problem as bad as i what I have had and if it is only once or a couple of times you have gone on a coffee or coka cola binge then you will be fine."

Baby Girl #1 due Feb. 10 replied: "i don't know if this has any ties, BUT my cousin drank red bulls throughout her pregnancy. her baby was born with autism. good thing her hubby is a dairy owner, because they spent big bucks on his treatment. happy to say, he is a lot better and acts like a normal 3 year old"

How did you survive your 1st trimester when you have older children? I normally make it on excessive caffeine, that's no longer an option. I work full time and have a 4 year old and 13 month old. I can't comprehend how I'm going to survive the rest of the 1st trimester; I just want to sleep; I feel so drained. Does anyone have any tips? Ideas? How did you do it???

Bozz Mozz replied: "Maybe worse than the morning sickness was how tired I was during my first trimester. I remember this and I feel your pain! Set the bar low. Say to yourself, "Just gotta get through until (insert objective here)." Sometimes it'll be dinner time, other times it'll be the next hour! I did this a lot when I was pregnant with Bear (Evan was 2). It was how I kept from falling apart."

rosie babayyy replied: "You put the kids to bed early and you go to bed early. You ask the older one to help out a bit more, and I'm sure he'd love to do so. You ask friends and family for help, even if it's just taking the boys for a few hours so you can rest."

aimee_id replied: "My plan is to sleep and up my expectations from my husband. I feel asleep at 830 again last night! My husband is pretty good about helping out because he knows how tired I am, and if he doesn't I remind him."

Nicky replied: "I ususally just stayed in, in the mornings and laid on the couch. I just finished my third pregnancy (eight weeks ago) and was caring for a three year old and twin two year olds. I'd get them up, bring their clothing downstais with me, put them at the table for breakfast (laydown while they were eating), clean up and then let them play and watch TV for a couple of hours while I "slept" on the couch. You don't really fall asleep (dozing on and off occasionally), but laying down definitely helps, then take nap with them in the afternoon (make your four year old take a nap or atleast play in his/her room for an hour or two). My husband was also a good reason why we made it through this time, he picked up all the extra housework. I'd make it through dinner time and putting the kids to bed and then pass out. I'll have to say I couldn't give up the caffeine this time, I drank atleast parts of 2 16 oz coffees each day (caffienated). Just as a warning, at the three month mark the morning exhaustion was finished, but I was somewhat tired until about 7 months along for my third. Just find ways to make your life easier, if you have a slow cooker, make dinner early without putting a lot of effort into it. Good luck with your pregnancy."

B'sMomma replied: "What??? I swear, I miss so much over the weekends! Obviously, since I only have 1 child I can't offer much helpful advice... just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! Hopefully your husband and your 4yo will want to help you out as much as possible so you can get some rest. Good luck!"

Brody's Mommy replied: "Ummmmm.....HELLO?!?!? Is this your way of announcing the news???? Well then CONGRATU-FREAKIN-LATIONS!!!! I have no adivce..BUT OMG CONGRATS!! HOW EXCIIIITTTTIIINGG!!! =] =] =]"
