Caffeine In Coca Cola Facts in Q&A
How much caffeine does coca cola zero have??? ok so im 14 and yesterday I drank 2 bottles of coca cola zero in the evening, not the 2L bottles, but the smaller ones. So yeah, I didn't get a single minute of sleep last night, I stayed up ALL night. So does it have a lot of caffeine??

Cayley J replied: "Yes. It has more caffine since its coke zero . They add more caffene so they can illiminate the sugar . Hope this helped :)"

robapel4 replied: "Not a whole lot. It has 23 mg of caffeine in an 8 ounce serving. This mens a 24 ounce bottle has 69 mg in it. Since you had two that will be 138mg. That is not too much but depending on how many other caffeinated drinks or chocolate you might have had can change that. Try to never have more than 300 mg of caffeine a day. That is the danger level."

verondear replied: "34.5 mg of Caffeine in a 12 oz bottle - it is the same amount as regular classic/diet coke."

PaVAn08 replied: "they lessen it cause its like diet coke so they try to make it as less caffiene free as possible"

warmfbmf replied: "34.5"

How long will caffeine free coca-cola stay good for? I've recently received a free case of coca-cola. The expiration date reads 05. Is this still good to drink?

Gr8 Defender of Islam replied: "No - it's not good. If you drink it it will taste funny and it will go flat in seconds anyway. If you get sick you cannot sue the manufacturers either. There is a reason for expiration date - it's called freshness!! Eat and drink only fresh stuff - it's better for you."

Is there a cola that tastes exactly the same as coca cola but without caffeine? I am pregnant and trying to cut my caffeine down however I cannot find a coke that tastes the same as proper coca cola, have developed a craving for the stuff and nothing else tastes the same!! HELP! Heres what I have discovered so far 1) Diet cola caffeine free tastes absolutely nothing like regular cola 2)Pepsi max has caffeine in

Gorkbark Porkduke Gefunken Fubar replied: "Yes. caffeine-free Coca Cola"

Olliek replied: "I would try diet coke caffiene free. It tastes EXACTLY the same as diet coke. Not sure bought ordinary cola tho :("

AngelCody1996 replied: "pepsi max"

Alan replied: "yes, water"

Pink Cigarette replied: "don't do it to yourself man, reg coke is the only coke good enough to quench a mans desire for a tasty carbonated drink"

tbm1124 replied: "Caffiene Free Coca-Cola is available at all major grocier stores. It tastes exactly like Coca-Cola. The Package has a gold stripe instead of the standard white"

Sam replied: "well not to state the obvious but non caffinated coca cola(regular not diet) taste the same and doesnt have any caffine...and why dont you just have something like sprite?"

Oreo replied: "Well Diet ANYTHING is gross because it has no flavor... I hate to break the news but probably not.. I don't know but see if R.C. has any caffeine in it... I don't think there is and personally I think R.C. is WAY better"

Patrick D replied: "Coke makes caffeine free coke, it's just hard to find. Ask your grocer to stock it."

Christine P replied: "Yes, Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola was introduced in 1984 Caffeine Free Diet Coke tastes identical to Diet Coke. If you cannot find it in your area, then you could either... ... go without it and find healthier drinks (since you're pregnant) ... buy it on eBay "

How much caffeine does Coca Cola have per 12 oz can? it doens't say on the label but I've always wonder. Just how much caffeine does coke have in it?

Amy D replied: "I can't remember the mg per serving but I do know that 6 cans of Coca Cola has the same amount of caffeine as one 12oz cup of coffee... hope that helps!"

dohar2 replied: "there are 34.00 milligrams of caffeine in one 12.oz. can of coke classic."

Gene L replied: "Coca-Cola Classic 34.0 milligrams per 12 oz. can This chart compares all popular soft drinks: (plus tea, coffee, cocoa)"

cokewww replied: "Coca-Cola Classic12 oz can contains 34.5mg of caffeine according to the nutrition table published on Coca-Cola's website. Please see the URLs cited below. The information is of 3/20/2006. Please note the table contains values for a standard 8 oz serving. I just multipled the number by 1.5 to get the 34.5mg per 12-oz can."

SEAN K replied: "Coca Cola has alot of caffine in it so I,d say about 9 % ."

Does fountain Coca-Cola have the same amount of caffeine and sugar than canned Coca-Cola? I'm pregnant and I'm supposed to be limiting my caffeine and sugar intake but I'm really craving a cold Coca-Cola right now... not Pepsi, not any other soda....has to be Coca-Cola!

HeldmyW replied: "Yes and no... The canned or bottled variety is made to a very precise formula and the batches are checked VERY carefully. Fountain dispensers "ballpark" an amount of syrup to be mixed with the carbonated water. The metering can be off (by accident or on purpose... coke syrup is expensive!). So all the same in cans... off a few bubbles one way or the other at the fountain! Best wishes! Especially with the baby!"

winenut replied: "Isn't there caffeine free Coke? Anyway, fountain Coke should have the same level as canned Coke, but it depends on the fountain machine being adjusted correctly. Some machines are a little heavy on the syrup, some lighter."

MucBen replied: "stay away from cola,!"

joaniepony replied: "It is made the same as the canned drink"

can caffeine from coca-cola cause sleep disorders?? My problem is that I can't get asleep at night, and when I do,which occurs not before 5 am, I can't get up easy, I feel as I haven't sleep at all, although I stand up at 16 o'clock!!??! Now, I feel tired and I want to sleep, but I can't fall asleep!!?? What's the problem? Last few months, the only drink I've drank is coca-cola, and now, I've made a correlation between my current problem and caffeine in cola. So, my question is, is it possible that it was caused by coke? Have anybody any proposal what am I supposed to do in order to resolve this problem? Thank you, I appreciate your answer!

Wicked replied: "c affeine in any form can cause sleep problems"

Amanda C replied: "ive had the same problem since starting to drink any cola product, i can go for days without having a good nights sleep and have resorted to taking xanax once a week just to catch up on sleep, maybe we should try the decaf cola and see if it improves?"

pinkribbons&walking4boobies replied: "Caffeine in many things not just coca cola can cause sleep issues. Cut caffeine out of your diet....at least don't have it after a certain time during the day. If this doesn't help then I would suggest seeing a doctor. Sleep disorders can be a serious thing and can cause other health issues as well. Good luck."

sheila_0123 replied: "Insomnia is difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep or a disturbance in sleep that makes sleep seem inadequate or unrefreshing. The excerpt above is from the medical link below...see the source for more information on why it happens and what to do about it..."

MISS-MARY replied: "Don't drink any caffeine after noon. It can cause you to not sleep and it is not good for you. You can try the coke decaf. and then just fo off all caffeine. Try taking benadryl, the antihistamine..it's used for older people to help them sleep. It's the sleep ingredient in Tylenol pm and those sleep agents. So, it is safe at 25 to 50 mg. no more than that. If you still have a problem see a DR. at your age you should be sleeping with no problem unless you are stressing about something. If so, try fixing the problem and you may sleep better. Good luck."

tanja_berengue replied: "...you're kidding, right? caffeine is a stimulent which floods your body with an chemicalr that basically makes your body think it isn't tired. it basically makes your body forget it's tired, and therefore keeps going, full speed ahead. caffeine in products such as energy drinks, coke, pepsi or other sodas, teas, coffees or pills (either diet or energy) that keep you awake. it also is added to some pain killers (such as excedrin tension headache) because it helps the medicine work faster. unfortunatly, caffeine is very addictive. it takes you less than a day to become addicted to caffeine, and if you try to, say skip a day and not have any, the average person will experience headaches and fatigue. it takes about two weeks to break the addiction of caffeine, and just a couple more cokes to get hooked again. hope i've helped :-)"

clarity replied: "If you drink anything that has caffeine in it, confine it to the morning or early afternoon hours. It absolutely can interfere with your sleep."

Cammie replied: "Caffeine is caffeine. Try some caffeine free coke after noon. The sugar may keep you up also so try caffeine free, sugar free coke. Try milk before bed."

Shelty K replied: "I would have thought that you answered your own question. Stop drinking Cola drinks or those with caffeine in them Caffeine is a stimulant and it has an accumulative effect. Tablets like No Doze were caffeine based and used by truck drivers to stay awake. Colas have less caffeine but some people are more sensitive to the effects. Drink Water, or some other form of drink that has no caffeine in it. Also consult your physician for a check up of your system generally to ensure there are no underlying medical issues that are giving rise to your problem"

tara replied: "yes it can, bad for your stomach too..."

mycatreads replied: "anything containing caffeine can cause sleep disorders. if you have a t.v. in your bedroom remove it , its sometimes too much stimulus"

SMOOSH_BAM replied: "Well, obviously you are sensitive to caffine...so, don't drink it. Try some melatonin pills to help you sleep until your sleeping patterns are regulated."

Is it possible to be addicted to Coca-Cola and not the caffeine? I can do w/o other soda and coffee for a long time. Cut the bad foods, eat healthier but can't kick Coca-Cola. I think about it more than cigarettes. I need it everyday. I go crazy w/o it. I can do drink diet Coke too.

Jessie H replied: "You are not alone. I don't know what it is about the coke. I get paranoid when I have less than 3 cans in the house."

macdaddy0214 replied: "It's not the sugar if you can do Diet Coke too. This is probably a psychological thing -- don't fret, at least it's not heroin."

nickipettis replied: "it is either the caffeine or the sugar. or both."

Nicole Y replied: "Back in the day, Coca-Cola Co. used cocaine in their products to keep customers buying 'Coke'. Interesting!"

Stephanie M replied: "i guess it is possible to be addicted to it. if you want to kick the habit try weaning yourself off gradually or else going to a therapist for it. i've heard hypnosis also works for addictions. as far as the caffiene...if you can still get your fix on caffeine free coke then you know it's not that. best of luck!"

neysyah replied: "heheheh i used to be drink coca cola everyday it grow my fat faster"

karah replied: "I understand. I'm the same way. It's just very addicting. When I try to stop I get irritable and I also get bad headaches. So good Luck!!"

kkldng replied: "could be...try buying caffeine free coke or diet coke"

salad fingers replied: "im flying of it right now ive lost my job my wife my children my pet dog roger all because of dam coke o cola"

dandan replied: "Ya! this totally happened to my friend and we promised her we would tube feed her coke if we had to. Its addicting."

layedbackx replied: "technically no, you cant be addicted to carbonated water and glucose with artificial flavoring, it just never happens, but i think that your addiction is both a combo of needing caffienne and mental atraction. What i mean is you are slightly addicted to the caffiene, but you may have had some experiences in your life where you were drinking coke and you were either in a very happy or comforting moment in time. Other occurences may have happened but the point is, you might need coca cola as sort of a regular dose, to keep you happy, or normal. i would definetely advise to not drink regular coke very often. Sugary soda is the worst fattening food out there, it leads straight to diabetes if you're unlucky."

MR TADS replied: "i had a model work for me and she would leave her house in morning around 6am . to arrive at 7am she would drink 2 cans of coke every day. she said she needed it stay awake."

te144 replied: "I can't imagine anything with that kind of 'draw' except the sugar. 100 - 110 years ago, it would have been not only possible but likely, as the COCA stood for cocaine. If you're on the sugar Coke, remember that too much can land you in the hospital as it did my son, as a teener, with some kind of sugar imbalance, except I think it was Pepsi with him. Your best move healthwise would be to try to move to the sugarless. If it's too tough, try diluting the sugar drink. little by little with the sugarless. Good luck and be careful. Hospitals are getting damn expensive."

overanxious_neurotic replied: "I used to drink Coke several times a day - often 20+ ounce bottles. I stopped four years ago by switching to bottled water and drinking it any tine I had a craving for Coke. I also exercised much more often, and over four years, i lost 6 inches on my waist. (Another bodily component associated with 6 inches performs much better, too!)"

Tbone replied: "I quit drinking it when I was pregnant and found that if I drank a lot of water it helped with the headaches. I actually got to where I didn't even care for it anymore."

cgflann replied: "Yes, it isn't just the caffeine that can be addictive. It can be the sugar or just the action of always needing something to drink. Many smokers say they have a hard time quitting not only because nicotine is addictive, but because they always need to be doing something with their hands. (That is one of the reason why when people quit smoking they tend to gain weight.) The best approach is to cut down slowly by slowly replacing Coca-Cola with a more healthy alternative whether that be water, juice, or whatever. In my opinion (and many may disagree) going "cold turkey" just makes you want to have it more and you are more likely to go back to it early on."

Where does Pepsi or Coca-cola get its caffeine from? where do they buy it from?

Miami Chef replied: "I am not sure, I wish I could help you :( sorry. TR"

Does coca cola have alot of caffeine in it? I seem to be pretty sensetive to caffeine. I drank a couple cokes, and later I felt light headed, shaky and my heart was beating fast. Do you think it could have been the coke, or something else?

hotpinkmasala405 replied: "yes, but i must have been a combination of things."

MayberryNR5 replied: "it could have been that or the sugar rush...try drinking caff free coke... you'll ENJOY it"

iceq90 replied: "caffeine has 34mg of caffeine in it. caffeine sensitivity varies from person to person. on average the smaller the person, the less caffeine needed to produce side affects. caffeine sensitivity is mostly affected by the amount of caffeine a person has daily.caffeine does make a person pee more and sometimes dehydrate so be safe and dont drink so much when it is hot or if you are doing something which makes you sweat. it also affects you more if your stressed or anxious. if you want more info type in caffeine on yahoo. there is a good site. hope this has helped"

Susan Yarrawonga replied: "Apparently coca cola contains more caffeine than coffee."
