Is Nizoral shampoo useful for male hair loss (MPB), has anyone used it for that purpose and had any results? I read somewhere that Nizoral shampoo (Ketoconazole) is useful for men experiencing hair loss, is this true?, I mean has anyone actually used it and saw any benefits from it.

There are many sources of biotin such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. It is present in some shampoos, so you can use shampoos, which contain biotin. It is advised to consult a physician before taking any vitamins or medications for hair growth."

Is it okay to use other shampoos with 1% ketoconazole Nizoral? I have seborrhea on my scalp causing redness, flaking, scaling, and hair loss. i know that ketoconazole is potent, but is it a bad idea to use other products (ie: Lush products that are natural/organic) on days when i don't use the Nizoral?

My scalp is red, itchy and it hurts, with loss of hair, the doctor said I had Dermititis, How can I stop it? Im a 21yr old Female, I stareted noticing thining of my hair, then itchyness, red spots and now i noticed hair loss. I went to the doctor and she said I had inflamation in my scalp and what I had was Dermititis, she prescibed a shampoo called Ketoconazole 2%. But it burns. Would my hair regrow?? What other thing can i do to make it stop falling??? Can i change my diet?? Or stop my birth control?? I have the lowest dose on birth control. Please help.... Im becoming depressed because of it.
