Tramadol 100 Information in Questions
My 4 year old bulldog has cancer in his left rear leg. He is taking 50 MGS Tramadol and 100 mgs Amantidine BID He is starting to lick his leg and he licks his pilows more all the time. He does not cry or whimper. My vets have said I can go up on his meds. I dont want to over medicate him. is my dog telling me he is in pAIN AND i AM JUST NOT SEEING THE SIGNS?

puffy replied: "be kind...put him down...good luck.."

bettathang replied: "dogs have many different ways of showing pain. Talk to your vet, and if they give the ok, up the Tramadol."

TKS replied: "Licking pillows isn't necesarily a sign of pain. Boredom or stress perhaps. Tramadol acts similar to codeine in the body and it may even be a side-effect of that, as codeine in people can make them talk more, itchy, or restless. I think you will know when he is in pain. He just sounds bored to me."

Missy H replied: "Are the side effects to upping the meds dangerous? Have you asked your vet? If I were in your shoes, I honestly would try to do everything I could, without putting my pup in *too* much pain, to try and make him well again before I gave up. I'd get all the facts I could from my vet, ask him/her what signs they usually see from dogs in this position that tells you that they're in more pain, and then go from there. You never know, he may pull through this, or he may need you to give him more meds and help him enjoy his last few days without pain ... but get all the info you can, and make an informed decision, that's my suggestion. I am so sorry that you are going through this - best of luck to you both! Keep us posted, please!"

Brittany replied: "if it is in his leg don't put him down just get his leg removed that helped with my grandmothers cat and she was cancer free. and u have to know that there is always pain and there would be even if you had cancer. I am sorry for you my dog brownie had bone cancer in his muzzel and we had him for 5 months after we treated him but then he got worse so we had to put him down. but i think your dog could have a chance just do what you think is right"

gracesgirl replied: "I wish I knew. My 12 year old dog is going through the same thing. I asked almost the same question yesterday. My dog has never shown any signs of pain..I know what you are saying...you don't want him zoned out but you don't want him in pain either...if only they could talk!! -I would watch him walk, and see if he is favoring that leg much. -Does he grunt or groan when he sits or lays down? -Heavy panting may also be a sign of pain. -When he is in a sitting position, does he fall to the "good" side or immediately lay down? These can all be signs....I know because I've not taken my eyes off my dog since he was diagnosed on Christmas Eve. My heart goes out to you...I know how you feel. Good luck...give him all the love and affection you can. Oh, one other thing. I noticed that my dog definately reacts when I get emotional around him. You may want to be careful of that. Try to be loving and upbeat....whenever I would start crying or getting really sad and depressed, he seemed to go down with me... Best of luck to you...hope he feels better."

How long will tramadol stay in your blood? How long will it take 100-200 mg of tramadol to leave my blood and liver for a blood test?

I took 150 mg of Tramadol at 12pm, can i drink beer tonight around 8 and be alright? I took 100 mg. of tramadol at around 830am then took another 50 mg at 12pm. I was wondering if I will be sick or if I will suffer potentially fatal consequences.

Is it okay to take Unisom and Tramadol at the same time? 100 mg of unisom 150 mg of tramadol Is this okay? Or will i become sick?

Christina replied: "call your pharmacist, walgreens are usually 24 hours."

And sick of going to get prescription n sick of taking em! So whats these shocks am getting, like weird shocks all over body, (mainly when im moving)? Also feel like i got no energy!

Does anyone know with absolute certainy wheather ultram/tramadol will show up in a hair sample drug test? Please: 1) please only answer if you know for sure 2) dont guess 3) tramadol is not an opiate and does not contain codine. I am 100% sure it does not show up in drug rehab urine testing but I am unsure if given the differences between a urine and hair testing and court and drug rehab it could show up in hair testing in court. thany u

kmr1234 replied: "Tramadol/Ultram is a non-narcotic. But I am looking at in My drug book and it states that it is a Opioid Analgesic. I do not think that is shows up in a drug screen, because it is a NON-NARCOTIC. It states here that it is a Synthetic anagelisic not chemically related to opiates."

Tramadol vs Percocet? Tramadol vs Percocet? I just recently found out I have a slipped disc, spinalspinosis (SP?), and some arthritis in my back (I'm only 27, but figure skated for years), apparently I must have aggravated the spine problems somehow, because the last 4 weeks I have been in agony, I am doing PT but it's not working (actually feels like it's getting worse!), I'm going to a spine dr on Wednesday, but I was just wondering, as the pain clinic changed my meds from 5/325 percocet every 4-6 hours to 100 Tramadol twice daily.

Jenny replied: "percocet worked for me where tramadol only worked or a few weeks, Just tell your doctor if the pain is real bad and the meds are not helping. you could get someone to rub deep heat rub on the area and apply a heating pad to soolth the pain away. That will help along with the pain meds. sorry to here you are so much in pain, I know for a fact what you are talking about. Hope some of this helps."

electricstorm79 replied: "Ok, heres my experiance. I have slipped dicked as well. L4-L5 and L5-S1, with causes sciatica. I have been on everything. I was taking percocet and they worked great at first. But then they wore off fast causing me to need more in just a couple of hours. I ended up eating them like candy. Doctors do not like to give you but just a few at a time, because they are addictive. So I ran out before it was time to get them refilled. And in pain for days before i could get them. I tryed the tramadol 50 mg. They do not kick in as fast but they last alot longer. And all I have to take is 2 at a time, 3 times a day. They do not wear off in the middle of the night which keeps me from waking up feeling like I'm gonna die. They do not give me that nasty feeling at the end of the day like I'm strung out. And they don't give me a high feeling. Tramadol has gave me my life back!"
